Eskimos in a tropical land!

If you hear the word Eskimos in Hyderabad then don't be surprised. No, the Arctic ice has not melted and its still intact. Eskimos is a specialty outlet for a range of gourmet icecreams and gelatos on the outskirts of Hyderabad. I had visited this place along with a food aficionado and I was really impressed with the range of iceceams and gelatos they had.

Ambiance is quite decent here with a fountain right in the middle of the dining area, that sound of water flowing does sooth one's senses. Walls clad with paintings give a nice touch of color to the whole setting.

They have a cafe adjoining(Cafe Sandwicho) which actually is a full fledged restaurant. We ordered two varieties of pan fried noodles and found them to be of average taste, nothing that would really make me feel like they were distinct or different. Priced on the higher side for the quantity that is served, I would rather not be inclined to have food here.

But the attraction is not food, its the icecreams and gelatos that star in their daily show. The important thing we got to know is, they make each of them fresh everyday. The quanity served justifies the pricing and if you are really hungry, then a couple of cups of these would make you feel full and content! Only if you are an icecream lover!

Its a bit of long drive to get to this place, but they have a great lawn where you could relax and unwind with your cup of select icecreams. Its worth the drive if you are a really icecream fan. If not then I can say there are quite a few happening places in the city itself!

A journey resumes

I had been an on and off blogger a few years back, penning down the occasional experience that I thought was worth sharing. Having decided to start writing again, I hope to be more consistent this time. The main focus of this blog is going to be food, cooking and cuisines across India and around the world.

Food is not just some thing that we consume or devour to keep ourselves alive. I believe food is a religion in itself, a way of life. Needless to say, food has played a crucial role in countless revolutions that have altered the history of civilization.

The intent of this blog is to bring to you my experiences with food, either at home or at a restaurant or anywhere else. Would be glad to receive all the bouquets and brickbats, for those are the things which will help me stick to the path and improve on the way I portray my experiences.

Thank you!
